Bonded Storage

Licensed bonded warehouse, defer duty, store transit cargo, enable re-export

Bonded Storage

Defer Duty, Pay Only When You're Ready

A bonded warehouse allows you to store dutiable goods without paying import duty until the goods are ready for release. This is a powerful cash-flow tool, goods clear customs at the port and are transported directly to our licensed bonded facility, where they remain under customs supervision until you're ready to sell or re-export.

Our bonded facility is approved by the relevant customs authority for both import and transit cargo. We manage all customs documentation, bonds, and reconciliation on your behalf, so you deal with one partner, not two agencies.

Who Uses Bonded Storage?

Importers Awaiting Finance

Goods arrive before payment is settled. Store in bond, clear customs progressively as finance is confirmed, no rushed duty payment.

Transit Traders (EAC)

Transit cargo destined for neighbouring countries can be stored at our bonded facility while arranging onward transport, no local import duty applicable.

Re-Exporters

Import goods from Asia, store in bond, and re-export to regional markets without paying local import duty, a legitimate and widely used trade structure.

Seasonal Stock Builders

Import a full season's stock in one shipment to get better freight rates, then release to the market in batches as demand warrants, paying duty per release.

Pharmaceutical Importers

Pharma importers awaiting regulatory approvals can store goods in bond while clearance is processed, no demurrage risk.

Excisable Goods Traders

Alcoholic beverages, tobacco, and other excisable goods can be stored in a licensed bonded facility with full customs oversight and controlled partial release.

Bonded Storage, How It Works

1

Customs Entry

We lodge a warehousing entry with customs, directing the cargo to our bonded facility without paying duty at the port.

2

Bond Transfer

Cargo moves from the port to our bonded facility under a customs transit bond, tracked with seals and customs documentation.

3

Store & Monitor

Goods are received into our bonded section, counted, and logged in WMS. You receive a stock statement and can access the portal at any time.

4

Release When Ready

When ready to sell or export, we lodge an ex-bond entry, duty is assessed and paid (or waived for re-export), and goods are released to you.

Bonded Storage, FAQs

Goods may be stored in a licensed bonded warehouse for up to 12 months, subject to customs authority approval. Extensions can be applied for. After 12 months without release or renewal, the customs authority may deem the goods abandoned and proceed to forfeit or auction. We proactively notify clients 60 days before bond expiry.
Yes. You may inspect your goods during customs supervision hours (08:00–17:00 weekdays). A customs officer must be present for any physical examination. Samples may be drawn with customs consent. These access rules are statutory requirements, not warehouse policy.
Prohibited goods (narcotics, counterfeit items, firearms without licence) cannot be stored in bond. Highly perishable goods with a shelf life shorter than the bond period are impractical. Certain hazardous materials require a separate customs-approved dangerous goods bonded facility. We assess each commodity before accepting.
