Land Freight, FAQs

Yes. We have licensed customs agents at every major border post, Busia, Malaba, Namanga, Isebania, and Moyale, who process transit documents, C&F declarations, and duty deferment bonds on your behalf. Cross-border clearance is included in our corridor pricing.

Standard articulated trucks carry up to 28 tonnes of payload on regional roads. For heavier loads (up to 120 tonnes and beyond), we use lowbeds and self-propelled modular transporters (SPMTs), all with the necessary road transport authority and host-country overload permits.

Yes. We operate refrigerated trucks (reefer vans) for pharmaceutical, food, and perishable cargo. Units maintain +2°C to +8°C or -18°C to -20°C. Temperature data loggers are fitted and reports provided on delivery.

Our own fleet carries third-party liability insurance. For all-risk cargo cover at declared value, which we strongly recommend, we can arrange a transit cargo policy as part of your booking. Premiums start from 0.15% of cargo value for domestic routes.
